WEEKLY MARKET UPDATE

Total inventory (of single family homes) in our multiple listing service came down a bit to 723 homes, while the number of home currently in escrow climbed a bit to 93 properties.  In addition to the houses in escrow, there are another 13 homes that are showing a status of "Contingent" in our MLS.  This usually means that they have an accepted deal, but are waiting for final signatures to be received back from the bank (usually these are bank-owned or short sale deals).....8 of the contingent properties are short sales and 3 are bank-owned.

This past weeks numbers may be off a bit - especially considering the new listings.  The reason being is that ReMax Lake Arrowhead was just purchased and renamed "Capre."  Therefore, all the listings are transitioning from ReMax to Capre and had to be re-entered into the MLS with the new name.  So, there were a total of 97 new listings in the MLS this week, but only 32 of them were with firms other than ReMax / Capre.

There were 9 sales over the past week with the average list-to-sale percentage of 90.5% and the average number of days on market at 204.3 days.
