Today, August 4, 2007, we took a few hours off and went to Mountain Top Days in Running Springs.  It was held in the large field that is a part of Charles Hoffman Elementary School.  This is an annual event with local arts and crafts, vendors and local service groups.  We watched California Department of Forestry go up against Arrowbear Fire Department and Running Springs Fire Department in the "bucket brigade" contest.  Running Springs won!  The Sheriff's helicopter was great as were the snowcones.  There was a chili cook-off and all kinds of fun things for kids and adults alike.
